London Fashion Week: a heads-up

Below are a few of the designers whose catwalk shows I'll be attending this AW11/12 season.

I'm very excited that they are showing in London and wanted to give you all a heads-up on some of the shows I'll be blogging about, I have my outfit sorted for Friday (but not for the other 5 days I might add - feeling slightly stressed!)

Anyway.... the designers...

Jena Theo
Design duo, Jena Holmes and Dimitris Theochardis won the 2009 Fashion Fringe, Donatella Versace was the honorary chair that year. Their designs are worn by many including Florence Welch.

Prophetik
Is an ethical label by Jeff Garner who has dressed the Kings of Leon, Sheryl Crow and most recently Livia Firth for the 2011 Golden globes.

Bora Aksu
Turkish born Aksu graduated from Central St Martins MA in 2002 starting his own label immediately. He has previously been awarded New Generation sponsorship four times.

Fashion Mode
Is a company that brings new talent to the fore. Its most recent dream team led by Andrea Abraham are Carlotta Actis Barone, James Hillman and Florian Jayet.

BODYAMR
London born designer Amr, whose contemporary evening wear is a recent favourite of celebs such as Courtney Kardashian.

A La Disposition
Lynda and Daniel Kinne met at Parsons School of Design. Their label is a fusion of form and function and embodies the luxury of eccentricity.

Bunmi Koko
Bunmi Olaye has won the African Fashion Award for the Emerging International Designer of the Year 2010 in Johannesburg. She has a strong celeb following, including Michelle Obama and Mischa Barton.

Alice Palmer
Has shown for three seasons and was a finalist of 2010 Fashion Fringe. Her trademark is sculpted, draped knitwear that is very wearable.

Ashley Isham
Arriving in London in 1996 from his native Singapore, Ashley embarked on his fashion education, graduating with a degree from Middlesex University. His designs are worn by many including Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue.

So that's some of the fab designers showing at LFW. It's going to be great!

From tomorrow, I'll be armed with my camera and moleskin to capture the moments. I have seven shows on Day 1 of LFW and hope to have something up late Friday, worst case scenario there will be at least 3 LFW blogs by Monday morning. In the meantime, please keep checking in to see what I've uploaded.

Wish me luck.
